Where We Work
Women for Change has worked with the rural communities in it's operational areas, as well as other parts of Zambia, since it's inception in 1992.
The organisation has worked with 927 community-based groups of women, men, girls and boys, mainly in four provinces of Zambia: Central, Southern, Eastern & Western. This covers 11 districts: Mumbwa, Kapiri Mposhi/Mkushi, Mazabuka, Sinazongwe, Choma, Kalomo, Kaoma, Senanga, Petauke and Lundazi
During the period 2013-2017, the organisation will focus its operations in new areas, namely Kalomo, Petauke, Lundazi and Chongwe, while activities in old operational areas will mainly be focused on monitoring, as well as collection of information for measuring impact of the organisation's work.
Women for Change will continue working with traditional leaders - chiefs and village head persons- in all ten provinces of Zambia and the SADC Region.
